It may not be as prestigious as an Oscar but these films win the award for the most pirated movies of 2015. A company called Excipio tracks the downloads on illicit peer-to-peer file sharing sites and determines the most illegally downloaded movies of the year.  And without further ado:
10. Kingsman: The Secret Service(30,922,987 downloads)
9. Terminator: Genisys (31,001,480 downloads)
8. The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies (31,574,872 downloads): The last of The Hobbit trilogy was released in December 2014 but racked up most of its piracy in 2015.
7. Fifty Shades of Grey(32,126,827 downloads): Proving that not just fanboys are downloading movies but inquisitive adults as well.
6. American Sniper (33,953,737 downloads)
5. Mad Max: Fury Road (36,443,244 downloads)
4. Jurassic World (36,881,763 downloads)
3. Avengers: Age of Ultron (41,594,159 downloads)
2. Furious 7 (44,794,877 downloads)
(Insert drumroll…)

  1. Interstellar (46,762,310 downloads): Another film actually released in 2014.
So congrats(??) to Interstellar for topping the chart. Remember, that copying and sharing pirated copies of movies is a crime and can lead to jail time, a fine, or banishment to a black hole.
